BODEGAS VALDUERO UNA CEPA 2018
£26.50

This delicious Tempranillo (known locally as Tinto Fino) was first made in 2006 by local legend Yolanda García Viadero with grapes from 50 year old bush vines without the use of irrigation or chemical fertilisers.

The vineyard has one of the lowest yields in the world and it takes one whole vine ("una cepa") to make one single bottle of wine.

Yolanda is still making this great wine: following a meticulous manual harvest and selection process, the wine is aged for 18 months in barrel and a minimum of 12 months in bottle before release.

Ripe fruit on the nose, cherries, wild berries, roast aromas, vanilla & leather. Compact structure, firm tannic backbone, slightly vegetal but balanced with good acidity and fine creamy texture and good expression of fruit. A modern style of Ribero - elegant, smooth, already accessible.  ABV 14%   Serve around 16 - 18C."
